Pocket Calendar Planners for Fundraising
The program works two different ways:
Pre Sell: A presell or brochure fundraiser is when you and your group get brochures, order forms and sales materials and use those to take orders for calendars. You don't really buy any inventory. You get people to look at your brochure and they place orders based on the photos and descriptions in the brochure.
The reason this approach works best for Calendar Fundraising is that you have not inventory risk. You take all of your orders at the end of your sale and tally them all together. Once you know how many of each calendar you have sold you place one bulk order
That allows you to buy only what you have pre sold. It also means you don't need any money to get started since you are collecting payment when you take the order you can use that money to pay for the bulk order.
Direct Sale: Many groups choose to purchase 2 year planners in advance and sell them. They figure more people will buy them if they can touch and feel the calendars. And they also feel many people prefer to get their product when they pay for it.
While there is some merit to this school of thought we would advise people to go the brochure fundraiser route and not take the inventory risk.
Calendar fundraisers are especially good during the fall when people are looking to replace their last calendar. Just choose the best approach and take advantage of this high profit option.
